Happy Monday!
Ok, so weight is still a little up...but I need to remember that this cleanse process is not just for weight loss. The ability to replenish the nutrients my body needs to be strong is even more important. So, despite another set back, I am still positive I am on the right path for health.
In terms of food for the day, I had a 1/4 c. of mixed raw nuts, a tangelo and 5 strawberries for breakfast. I had an apple as a post meeting mid morning snack. Lunch was a salad of romaine hearts, cucumber, and edemame in a home made cold pressed vinaigrette. After working out I had a little bit of raw(ish) hummus with a couple pita chips. Britni whipped up some lovely chickpea salad for supper, and is in the process of making raw mint ice cream (mmmmmmmmmmm!). I'll fill you in on the outcome in tomorrow's little ditty.
As I mentioned, I worked out pretty hard core today. My gym membership was finally activated so I had free range of the entire club. I blazed ahead with 45 min. on the iso eliptical, 15 min. on weights, and 20 min. on the bike. According to the cardio machines I burned over 400 calories, so I am estimating about 500 with the weights was shed this afternoon. I feel amazing this evening, with just a little soreness in my arms and legs. I meet with a personal trainer tomorrow, so hopefully I can get a plan on paper for my fitness goals.
In other cleanse news, I paid off what should be my last outstanding medical bill this morning. It's a small step towards financial detox, but damn did it feel good. I used to be rather uncomfortable with money. I don't think I had a great grasp on how to live within my means until recently. I am now actively trying to improve past financial missteps, and pave the way for my new financial mind to reign. Just wait until I start my degree in Financial Management...I should be well good.
That's all I have for tonight. I apologize again for the brief absence in the blog world. Talk to you all again tomorrow!
